SEWTECH Embroidery Machine Warranty Policy
Effective Date: 2025/08/25
Applicable Models: SEWTECH ST-1201 / ST-1501 embroidery machines (“Machine”)
This policy describes SEWTECH’s warranty coverage and after-sales support for SEWTECH embroidery machines and included accessories.
1) Warranty Overview
SEWTECH provides a 12-month limited warranty covering manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship for the Machine and eligible accessories, starting from the date you receive the product (proof of delivery may be required).
If a confirmed manufacturing defect cannot be reasonably resolved through repair or parts replacement during the warranty period, SEWTECH may offer a replacement or a return/exchange solution in accordance with the applicable return/exchange policy and local consumer laws.
2) Warranty Periods
A. Whole Machine (Main Unit)
- Warranty Period: 1 year from the date of receipt.
- Coverage: Defects confirmed by SEWTECH technical inspection to be caused by parts quality or workmanship.
Examples of covered parts may include (non-exhaustive): rotary hook, trimmer/scissors mechanism, needle bar, drive block, presser foot mechanisms, and electronic components within the control system.
B. Included Functional Accessories (In-the-box)
- Warranty Period: 1 year from the date of receipt.
- Examples include (non-exhaustive): garment hoops, brackets, cap hoops/frames, cap station, flat embroidery frames, and other functional attachments shipped with the Machine.
C. Consumables (Not Covered)
Consumables are not covered under warranty, including but not limited to: threads, fabrics, needles, bobbins, and similar items.
3) What This Limited Warranty Covers
- Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.
- Failures confirmed to be caused by defective SEWTECH parts under normal and proper use.
- Replacement of defective parts at no charge during the warranty period (subject to Section 5).
4) What This Limited Warranty Does NOT Cover
This limited warranty does not cover issues caused by:
- Normal wear and tear, routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and periodic adjustments.
- Improper installation, misuse, abuse, accidents, negligence, liquid intrusion, corrosion/rust, or operation in unsuitable environments (excessive dust, moisture, extreme temperatures).
- Incorrect voltage, unstable power supply, power surges, or use without appropriate electrical protection.
- Damage due to unauthorized repair, modification, tampering, or use of non-SEWTECH parts/consumables that cause failure.
- Serial number being altered, removed, or unreadable.
- Software and software-related issues (unless required by applicable law).
5) How Warranty Service Is Provided
A. Remote Diagnosis & Online Guidance (Free)
SEWTECH provides one-on-one online technical guidance to help diagnose issues and guide part replacement and adjustments.
B. Replacement Parts Shipment (Free for Eligible Claims)
For valid warranty claims, SEWTECH will ship required replacement parts at no charge.
- Typical delivery time: 3–7 days, and generally no longer than 12 days depending on destination and logistics conditions.
- Note: Customers may be responsible for local import duties/taxes, customs clearance requirements, or remote area surcharges (if applicable).
C. On-site Service (Chargeable, Where Available)
Where local engineer coverage exists, on-site service may be arranged for a fee, typically based on travel distance and local service conditions. Appointment is required. Some regions may not be covered.
6) Return / Exchange
Return and exchange are handled according to SEWTECH’s Return and Exchange Policy (published separately). When a return/exchange is approved, the Machine must be returned clean, complete, and properly packaged to avoid damage during transport.
7) Used / Pre-Owned Machine Policy
Customers who purchase used machines may still receive:
- Lifetime free online after-sales guidance (remote support).
Warranty timing for replacement parts (used machines):
- Any free replacement coverage for parts/accessories (if applicable) is calculated based on the Machine’s factory date and is valid up to 1 year from that factory date.
8) Out-of-Warranty Support
Even after the warranty period:
- SEWTECH can supply spare parts for all supported models.
- Parts are provided through official channels at official pricing; price gouging by unauthorized parties is prohibited. SEWTECH may revoke authorization for any dealer or store that violates pricing rules.
- SEWTECH continues to offer free online maintenance guidance to support troubleshooting and repair.
9) Customer Responsibilities (Required for Efficient Support)
To ensure fast and accurate service, customers agree to:
- Training & Setup: New users should schedule training promptly after receiving the Machine and join the designated technical support channel/group for guidance.
- Timely Reporting: Report abnormalities early and provide clear photos/videos, error codes, and operating details to avoid secondary damage.
- Cooperation During Remote Support: Follow engineers’ instructions during inspection and troubleshooting. If you cannot perform required checks, you may choose paid on-site service or seek assistance from a qualified person nearby.
- Proper Use & Maintenance: Keep the Machine in a clean, dry environment and perform regular maintenance as instructed.
- Return Preparation (If Approved): Ensure the Machine and accessories are complete, clean, and securely packed.
10) Legal, Anti-Fraud, and Liability Limitations
- SEWTECH reserves the right to take action against fraudulent claims, malicious chargebacks, or refund abuse, and may refuse future service/orders in such cases.
- This limited warranty becomes void if the Machine is modified or tampered with without SEWTECH’s prior approval, or if the serial number is altered/removed.
- SEWTECH’s liability under this policy is limited to repairing or replacing defective parts or the product, and will not exceed the purchase price of the product for the claim. Any claim or dispute arising out of or relating to this warranty shall be submitted to the People’s Court of Minhang District, Shanghai, China, to the extent permitted by law.
- SEWTECH is not liable for indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages (including loss of profit or data) to the extent permitted by law.
Anti-bribery / improper charging: SEWTECH staff and partners are not permitted to request or accept private fees for service. If you encounter such behavior, please report it to SEWTECH.

- Order number / proof of purchase
- Machine model & serial number
