1) Return Window
We have a 30-day return policy. This means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.
2) Eligibility & Condition
To be eligible for a return, your item must be:
- In the same condition you received it: unused, uninstalled, and unmodified
- In the original packaging with all included parts, accessories, manuals, and inserts
- Accompanied by proof of purchase (order number/receipt)
Returns may be refused or subject to a partial refund if items show signs of use/installation, have missing parts, or are not returned in original condition/packaging.
3) How to Start a Return
Please Contact Us before sending anything back. To start a return, email service@sewtechstore.com with:
- Order number
- Item(s) you want to return
- Reason for return
- Photos/video (required for damage/defects/wrong items)
If your return is accepted, we will send you return instructions and the correct return address. Return addresses may vary depending on product type and shipping warehouse. Items sent back without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
4) Return Shipping Costs & Fees
Return shipping responsibility depends on the reason for the return:
- Customer-caused returns (e.g., ordered the wrong item, changed mind, no longer needed): the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
- Our error or confirmed issue (wrong item shipped, missing parts, confirmed defect, or shipping damage verified): we will cover return shipping or provide an alternative resolution (replacement parts/re-shipment) where appropriate.
Original shipping charges (if any) are non-refundable unless required by applicable law or the return is due to our error.
Machines & Large EquipmentEmbroidery machines and other large equipment may require freight/pallet return shipping. If the return is not due to our error or a confirmed defect, the customer is responsible for freight return costs. A restocking fee up to 10% may apply to cover inspection, testing, repacking, and handling.
Items must be unused, uninstalled, and returned with all accessories and original packaging. Any optional delivery services (e.g., liftgate, appointment delivery, inside delivery) are non-refundable.
Import duties, VAT, customs clearance fees, and brokerage fees (if any) are non-refundable. If a shipment is refused and returned due to unpaid duties/taxes, any carrier return fees and additional shipping costs may be deducted from the refund.
5) Damages, Defects (DOA) & Wrong Items
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If your item is defective, damaged, missing parts, or you received the wrong item, contact service@sewtechstore.com within 48 hours of delivery, so we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
To help us resolve your case quickly, please provide:
- Order number
- Photos/video of the outer box, shipping label, packaging materials, and the product
- A clear description of the problem
We may offer replacement parts, a replacement shipment, or another solution depending on the situation.
6) Non-Returnable Items
The following items are generally non-returnable (unless defective or sent in error):
- Used or installed items
- Custom-made or personalized items
- Final sale/clearance items (if marked as final sale at purchase)
- Gift cards and digital products (if applicable)
7) Exchanges
The fastest way to get the correct item is usually to request a return (if eligible) and place a new order. If you want an exchange, please email service@sewtechstore.com so we can advise the best option based on stock and shipping cost.
8) Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know if the refund is approved. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded to your original payment method.
Please note: it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. Refund processing time is typically 5– business days after approval (payment providers may vary).
Refunds may be reduced if:
- Items are missing parts/accessories or are not in original condition/packaging
- Return shipping or restocking fees apply
- Carrier return fees apply due to refusal/undeliverable shipments
9) Cancellations & Address Changes
If you need to cancel or change your order, contact us within 8 hours after placing the order. Once shipped, cancellations are not possible and address changes may not be available.
